It’s Tuesday O’Clock! Time for a deck tech!
Ever since seeing the full decklists for Elves Vs Inventors I realized that I have always wanted to have a UR artifact deck that is just primarily based on synergies between artifacts. The Elves Vs Inventors deck does look like fun, but I wanted a deck that would be more consistent, have a chance to compete in modern, and still be budget. Thus I came up with One Stop Thopter Shop! (Credit for the name goes to PleasantKenobi in this video UB Value Town)\

If you are coming to the One Stop Thopter Shop, one of the first things you may be interested in is our ability to create Thopter tokens! This deck can go wide very easily with the likes of Hangarback Walker and Pia and Kiran Nalaar, and it takes advantage of this with our 2 different artifact lords Chief of the Foundry and Master of Etherium. Buffing all of the 1/1’s zipping through the air makes our opponents life that much more difficult.

If flooding the board with Thopters proves to be difficult, our other way to kill our opponent is very simple. If you can’t go wide, go tall! That’s where the likes of Cranial Plating comes into play. This dangerous artifact can turn a lowly Thopter into a flying 10 power creature that threatens the opponent’s life total on its own. Another powerful creature in our deck is, of course, Master of Etherium. Not only does he buff the entire board, but he gets bigger along with it! This versatility allows the deck to attack on different angles, and threaten our opponent in more ways than one.
Another card that I would love to talk about is Ensoul Artifact. This simple 2 mana enchantment can put a ton of pressure on our opponent right out of the gate. Turn 1 Island, followed by turn 2 Darksteel Citadel and Ensoul Artifact means your opponent now has to deal with a 5/5 indestructible. Fatal Push and Lightning Bolt may be some of the best removal spells in the Modern format, but they don’t even put a scratch on this walking fortress. Ensoul Artifact also works great on a multitude of other artifacts in our deck, such as turning a random Ornithopter into a 5/5 flyer or giving our Springleaf Drum the ability to beat down our opponent.
Another reason to love One Stop Thopter Shop is that it’s a fun and powerful Modern deck that doesn’t break the budget! At only 40 tix online and 80 dollars in paper, this deck is a blast to play and not a blast to your wallet. If you ever decide to use One Stop Thopter Shop let me know how it played for you in the comments below. Thank you for reading, and have a great week and an amazing Tuesday!
